Most Public School Teachers Know This
This is what the latest big data studies reveal:
1) students placed in higher quality classrooms earned substantially more 20 years later
2) both the early and later grades matter, perhaps the later grades even more
3) this applies not only to incomes but to health, happiness, increased civic engagement, and less likely to commit crimes
4) teachers are critical for all of this to occur along with smaller classes and increased tutoring
So why don’t all schools implement these findings? In my opinion, people don’t want their taxes raised to fund other people’s education which may decrease their economic advantage
