Thank You Elementary School Teachers!

If you’re a HS or MS teacher please thank the teachers in the grades below you because you are essentially standing on their shoulders. All the little things like raising one’s hand, walking properly in the halls, keeping hands to one’s self, not talking when the teacher is talking, and of course the curriculum, etc., must be taught. As a former high school teacher, I took many of these things for granted. That all changed when I had to teach for 5 years down in elementary school and I learned firsthand how difficult it was. I especially hate it when a teacher states, “Didn’t you learn anything down in the elementary school”. Think of all the things that they learned in the lower grades that go unnoticed.
